Job Summary: The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying SCADA systems using Ignition in automotive manufacturing environments. You will assist in defining and deploying the Corporate standard SCADA solution to new manufacturing lines. You will support various teams of engineers and technical personnel in developing, training, and troubleshooting tasks. Requirements include integrator, end user (Plant) and contractor coordination. The Senior Engineer - SCADA will ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Required Education and Experience: STEM degree with minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/automation, tooling, & program management.Experience with Python, REACT, Vue, Java, C++, Docker, Flask, FastAPI, MQTT, and reverse proxy solutions.Previous experience in with application developing in a team environmentAllen Bradley, Siemens, and Omron PLC experienceRobot programming experience (Preferable Fanuc)Database development and management experienceProcess engineering knowledge or experience.Program management experience.Understanding and experience with IT networking infrastructurePrevious working experience with edge devicesFluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Catia, UG)Must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.Must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively, take direction, work well in a team environment, and interact with all levels of management, engineering, systems, operations, and field personnel.Ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility in managing multiple projects.Strong communicator in the English language, both written and oral Demonstrated leadership skillsEssential Functions: Develop Corporate Standards, scope of work, design criteria and project standards.Provide expertise on best practices for integrating large scale SCADA systems using Inductive Automation's Ignition.Contracting and managing 3rd party integrators for deployment of SCADA networks.Troubleshooting scripts, SQL queries, OPC connection issues, network issues, etc.Coordinating tasks with Corporate Assembly and Controls Engineers and work with a wide array of technologies from equipment PLCs /robots to high level IT applications.Prioritizing tasks on time requirement and urgencyInvestigating Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC code to understand and improve the data being sent to SCADADesign, Develop, and Integrate Andon Vision Screens and Perspective Screens.Communicate and collaborate with other functional managersAbide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee HandbookBenefits: Working in a great team environment.Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance.401K/RRSP with company match.Safety shoe and prescription safety glasses reimbursement.Supplier discounts.Tuition reimbursement and training opportunities.
