Visit https://www.besix.com/ for more information. We are currently looking for an experienced Plant Manager for a big (marine) construction project in Portonave, Navegantes, Brazil. As the functional lead, you will be responsible for managing equipment (plant and machineries) in the project to achieve project and company objectives while applying best practices and company systems. You will be responsible for mechanics, lubrication, maintenance control, and fuel of the equipment on site. You will be responsible for elaborating the organizational chart of the plant department, determining authorities, attributions, and specific responsibilities to the foreman level, supervising all services inherent to the equipment, and interacting with the production, planning, and commercial areas, identifying needs and proposing technical solutions and execution methods that match the deadlines and costs involved. You will also be responsible for field inspection of the equipment, ensuring flow of field information, liaising with supervisors, and defining and requesting allocation of essential equipment for the production of works. You should have a mechanical or electro-mechanical degree (specialized mechanic – mechanical engineer); You should also have additional experience in the mechanical and managerial aspects of the job, at least 10 years of experience with similar jobs, and be service-minded and autonomous. You should be able to plan and administratively manage the maintenance of the plant under your supervision in collaboration with its operators and the project management. Furthermore, you should have experience with maintenance software and have a very good command of English and Portuguese. Compliance with the SPE Quality and HSE Plans is mandatory.
