SCOPE OF POSITION AND ROLE
The Transition & Implementation Agent is responsible for planning and managing a successful customer transition for multi-product accounts, from the award of business through the daily execution of branch operations.
The Transition & Implementation Agent will direct and manage the day-to-day activities of implementing new business with in the Expeditors Network. This is accomplished by defining the scope and complexity of the business to be transitioned, customizing the transition plan according to product needs following the four phases of the transition plan. The Transition & Implementation Agent will direct cross-functional teams comprised of customer, local operation, analysts and Systems (support/development) personnel.
Communication is required in many forms: email, project management tools and conference calls. Along with the product personnel, they are responsible for successfully implementing operational and systems solutions according to the scope of services.
Given customer information, review Transition and Implementatio checklist, review / prepare Scope of Work, prepare a transition plan, identify system needs, transition risks, and validate the needs assessment.
Drive Transition through Meetings & Conference Calls
Manage Project through the Transition Plan
Address all requirements (Standard Operating Procedures, Process Flow, Billing, Compliance, System, Management Tool, Legal, Training)
Work to successfully close out the Transition & Implementation process by providing a successful review and Transition completion forms.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Explain transition process to ‘beginners’.
Develop a Transition Timeline for business and systems along T&I manager.
Document and implement agreed upon procedures.
Point of contact for customer, sales, management, etc.
Coordinate effective calls and meetings.
Handle conflict and difficult conversations effectively.
Define complexity of business awarded.
Communicate customer’s requirements to management and involved products.
Identify risks to transitions’ success and/or go live expectations.
Communicate red flags / concerns to product managers.
Manage transition resources, scope, schedule and quality.
Recommend and Implement technology solutions to avoid manual input and minimize risk.
Develop Expertise in all Expeditors systems, tools, and products.
Communicate project status to product teams, sponsors, and branch operations.
Communicate regulatory or industry information to customers and to the network.
3 year minimum of industry experience with general knowledge in supply chain
Exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to document business process flows.
Outstanding communication skills including written and presentation.
Leadership skills including facilitation, motivation, negotiation and team-building.
Passion and drive to support a team toward winning results.
Confidence to make decisions in response to changing conditions.
Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment.
Ability to lead conference calls with multiple members.
Interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among team members and customer.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Proficient with data and data analysis using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other tools.
Oral and written Fluency in English (90%+).
Accountable for own performance and willing to work towards improvement.
Proactive approach to issues.
Time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency to achieve goals .
