As a senior developer you will be working in the Strategic Software Development Hub (SSH). The position duties include study of requirements, design and architecture of software systems and tools, introducing of new and modern frameworks and technologies, technical lead on development activities, coaching of the software developers, documenting, testing, deployment and support. The target software systems will be based on requirements for various aspects related to automation, quality and efficiency of activities related to end Customer, TC, CPC, Indus and Customer Service teams from Telecom Business Line of Thales. The responsibilities include maintenance and support of certain software systems.
A week in the life of a Senior Software Developer:
- You will be researching and introducing new and advanced software development methodologies, frameworks and libraries to the team.
- You will be studying customer requirements, leading architectural discussions, preparing Proof Of Concept following Design Thinking principles, preparing various diagrams, be ready to defend and explain your position to the rest of the team and the stakeholders (Product Owners, Management, etc.)
- You will be coaching and providing support during development to the rest of the software developers
- You will be working in a team that architects, develops, documents and integrates software modules and unit tests
- The environment is SCRUM-based and involves heavily the TDD approach with unit tests based on XUnit
- You will be participating in architectural discussions and be ready to actively contribute
- You will be targeting completing on time and in expected quality all items from the current sprint that you have committed to work on
- You will be preparing functional testing and integration documentation.
- You will be preparing Validation Test Plans documentation.
- You will train yourself every time you have ca chance between assignments.
- You will be responsible (after training) for strictly following the established software development process, security guidelines and best practices.
- You will target a high quality work and finishing your commitments on time.
- You will be attending all required meetings.
- You will report and discuss with the team ideas, needs and opportunities for solutions, services and improvements.
- You will follow up with committed product and solution deliveries.
- You will increase SSH team productivity and quality levels in-line you’re your yearly objectives.
- To succeed at this job, you must have: min 8 years of hands-on experience with:- Java and Eclipse RCP platform
- C#.NET (v4.5 and above)

- You must be: fluent in English

- You must have: a Bachelor degree in Mathematics or Computer Science or Information Technology.
- We are looking for someone with: strong with strong theoretical knowledge from school, min 8 years hands-on programming in a software development team (college internships do not qualify). A proven knowledge and experience in the following is considered a plus:
- ReactiveX with at least 1 language
- Javascript frameworks such as Node.JS, Angular
- MongoDB
- Full stack development experience
- Visual Basic 6 (for porting only)
- Telerik products
- SQL Server administration and optimization
- MySQL administration and optimization
- Participation in Open source projects
