The Telemarketing Agent will be responsible for contacting schools and teachers by telephone & e-mail in order to promote Explorica’s services, qualify viable program leaders, gather information, and verify details regarding their travel plans.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Contact Teachers by telephone to promote products and services
Explain benefits of the product or service to potential customers
Adjust scripted sales pitch to meet needs of specific individuals
Handle customer questions
Obtain customer information
Record customer details including reaction to the product or service offered
Input interests and details into the computer system
Record customer details and details of transaction
Confirm with sales representatives quality of lead and follow up
Obtain contact details of potential customers from sources including telephone directories, school websites, purchased lists, Google search etc.
Schedule appointments for sales staff to speak with prospective customers by phone who are ready to discuss pricing and itinerary details
Conduct customer and marketing surveys
Answer telephone calls from potential customers who are responding to Voice Mails
Contact customers to follow up on initial interaction
Prospect potential clients
Qualify potential clients based on the whether they are decision makers, their interest/need in our product/services, and ability to plan a trip now or in the near future
Reach & qualify the established lead quota set for each given month
Become and stay knowledgeable of company policies and procedures
Become and stay knowledgeable of the product and/or services offered
Manage database, contact agenda, and productive time
Education and Experience
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies
Relevant work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing
Product knowledge
Proficiency in relevant computer applications
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Knowledge of call center telephony and technology
Six months or more experience in a call center environment
Customer service experience
Good data entry/keyboard skills
Knowledge of administration and clerical processes
Familiar with office rules/office environment
Advanced English
