In CompuCom,The Technical Writersupports the knowledge management strategy by building professional relationships with internal clients to increase performance metrics through knowledge and awareness.
The Technical Writer will be responsible for quickly and effectively gathering and developing communication and process requirements for new and existing processes that improve user knowledge, consistent execution and efficiently while promoting adherence to the industry-wide Knowledge Centered Support (KCS) methodology.
Create and manage high-quality knowledge articles for CompuCom's internal clients using CompuCom's knowledgebase tool/process.
Acquires an understanding of the requirements of the content being documented, including target audience and engages appropriate SMEs to develop knowledge.
Uses industry-wide practice aligned to the CompuCom Knowledgebase and creates knowledge articles using a standardized template and industry-wide practices to develop content, such as reference guides, manuals, step-by-step instructions and FAQs.
Ensure validation process occurring to improve quality and relevancy of articles.
Generate Knowledgebase reports: Review article expiration dates and ensure that the articles are updated or archived as needed.
Join internal/external client meetings with support partners to review knowledge that needs to be updated, created, archived, and based on the different findings.
Partners with Process Analysts to update/create knowledge articles from list of knowledge articles required.
Level of Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Strong English language skills required (Advanced).
Area of Study: Process, Marketing, Media, Business Studies.
Years of Experience: Minimum 5 year experience in related field. Experience in discovering and documenting business processes, producing end user communication and knowledge reference materials.
Experience publishing for SEO, Social, or CRM channels is desirable.
Special Certifications: Knowledge Centered Support (KCS) Training or certification preferred.
ITIL certification preferred but not required.
Information Systems: Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, Salesforce.com, Microsoft Sharepoint.
