Responsible to manage, maintain, and improve the Supplier Quality System in order to aplish the requirements and specifications of the design ofponents received from suppliers.
A. Implements appropriate quality procedures for the areas of: Entrance Inspection and Supplier Development.
B. Coordinates and controls: Implementation of activities related to Supplier Quality System, Process of parts approval/ products.
C. Co-lead or participate in quality planning for product or process development activity
D. Co-lead or participate in supplier quality system assessments
E. Demonstrate experience in measurement systems analysis
F. Lead cross-functional problem solving and process improvement initiatives
G. Lead supplier advanced quality planning activity through the product development / launch cycle
H. Train or mentor others in problem solving techniques
I. Conduct supplier quality system assessments
J. Manage the MRB area to reduce and maintain in low levels the amount of parts in the cage.
K. Notify to supplier about defective material and manage the containment activities and corrective actions.
L. Receive , review and follow up PPAP approval process to achieve PPAP approvals for current/new part numbers.
M. Folow up Focus 5 program to help suppliers with low quality performance to improve quality and track results on monthly basis to achieve take them out of the Focus 5 list.
• 3+ years of experience in areas of similar areas.
• Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanics or Electronics.
• Fluent in English/Spanish (conversational & written).

Employees operating at the Advanced level of the Analytical/Statistical Tools & Methodspetency are subject matter experts on statistical tools and the application of these tools. Employees are able to leadplex problem solving projects and demonstrate the ability to apply all themonly used statistical tools, such as MSA, SPC, DOEs, etc, across organizational boundaries and functions. Employees have mentored and trained others in acquiring knowledge on Six Sigma and advanced statistical techniques.
External Requirements. Thepetency of knowledge, practice and application of the Product / Process and Quality System standards of the International Certification Bodies, Industry specific Regulatory Authorities and Customers contractually specified Quality Requirements. Employees operating at the Intermediate level of the External Requirementspetency have a working knowledge of national and international standards (e.g., ISO, TS, AS) as well as industry, regulatory, or customer specific requirements for product validation and approval. Employees have experience conducting quality audits and assessments of medium to large facilities.
Product/ Process Quality Planning. Product/Process Quality Planning (Advanced Quality Planning: AQP) is the ability to strategically define the Critical to Quality elements of a product/process, and the knowledge to effectively analyze, assess and mitigate the risks associated with any potential failures. Employees operating at the Advanced level of the Product/Process Quality Planningpetency are considered subject matter experts in the requirements as they pertain to industry, regulatory and customer requirements. Employees have experience in teaching and mentoring others in the tools, techniques and metrics of AQP. Employees have lead PROLaunch/ AQP cross-functional teams at the Business Group level.
Inspection & Testing. The ability to use proven tools, techniques, and methodologies to inspect products, measure process performance, perform product verification and validation testing, and to provide feedback reporting as required. Thispetency is utilized within the framework of the measurement, analysis and improvement aspects of the quality management system. Employees operating at the Advanced level of the Inspection & Testingpetency have taken the lead for design and development of tools and techniques for measuring systems and devices as well as the reporting of results to internal and external customers. Employees are subject matter experts and are able to train or mentor others in the tools, techniques, and methodologies of inspection and testing.
Quality Leadership. Quality Leadership is the knowledge of quality management systems and support practices. Thispetency includes the ability to efficiently and effectively assess performance, set strategy aligned with the business and use metrics to drive continuous improvements. Employees operating at the Intermediate level of the Quality Leadershippetency have a detailed knowledge of EQS and are able to create and manage quality improvement plans at their site. Employees are experienced in preparing sites for quality management system audits and senior management reviews and have demonstrated quality improvements across a location.
