Description

Main Responsibilities:Approve QA component sourcing documentation within a 24 hour period
Verifying component and vendor related paperwork are up to date and accurate
Documenting and communicating any identified errors and/or inconsistencies on said paperwork with various internal and external groups.
Ensuring proper coding (QW codes and CH codes) and other information is accurately assigned to components and vendors.
Perform research into regulations and guidance documents in order to determine the appropriateness of data submitted through sourcing documents.
Provide clarifications and training to internal sourcing team on governing procedures and relevant procedure and process changes.
Perform periodic audits of the accuracy and cleanliness of component storage locations and communicate results with appropriate warehouse personnel
Facilitate supplier alert communications and requests between PDM and Waukegan’s corporate office
Communicate product quality issues, data analysis, trends, and/or other information to respective internal customers.
Collaborate with peers and internal customers to improve quality, processes, and documentation.
Develop processes and plans to identify trends and focus on continuous improvement.
Direct activities for resolution of component quality issues between staff and divisions/internal customers and suppliers.
Perform analysis of trends and root causes, and issue status reports.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or business-related field preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years of quality control related work required
Preferably in a regulated industry (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Food or Personal Care).
Desired knowledge in fabrication of plastics and textiles.
Technical and interpersonal skills:
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent written and verbal English skills
Excellent written and verbal Spanish skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate errors and inconsistencies with appropriate team members
Ability to critically think about situations and independently make decisions
Supervisory experience preferred but not mandatory
Effective communication
Self-iniative
