The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Role PurposeFocused on customer order management, this hybrid role encompasses Product and Process Engineering as well as Planning roles to facilitate the creation and release of new part numbers and/or quotations for non-released products.
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that products are available to meet customer demands while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs.
It requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic planning, and collaboration with various departments.Key ResponsibilitiesDemand Forecasting : Analyze historical sales data and market trends to predict future product demand.
This involves creating accurate demand forecasts that inform production and inventory decisions.Plant Planning Coordination : Collaborate with plant planning teams to develop schedules that align with customer orders and minimize production costs.
This includes adjusting plans based on changing demand or supply chain disruptions.Inventory Management : Maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock availability, ordering materials as needed, and conducting regular stock checks to prevent both stockouts and excess inventory.Logistics Coordination : Oversee the movement of goods throughout the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery from suppliers to production facilities and ultimately to customers.
This includes managing relationships with logistics providers.Risk Management : Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as supplier delays or quality issues, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.Supply Chain Processes and Operations Readiness for NPI: Ensure that supply chain processes and operations are prepared for New Product Introduction (NPI)
