Manager, Software Engineering - Full StackWe are seeking passionate and experienced software engineers to join our team at Capital One in Mexico City.About the Role:Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that meet regulatory needs for the company.Stay up-to-date with the latest tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, mentor other engineers, and occasionally code or evaluate code.Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of Americans achieving financial empowerment.Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and various AWS tools and services.Requirements:Intermediate-Advanced English fluency.Bachelor's Degree.No less than 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).No less than 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).No less than 4 years of people management experience.Priorities:Masters Degree.7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.7+ years of people management experience.2+ years of experience in Agile practices.Additional Information:Capital One is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds.
