PROFILE
5 to 7 years of experience in the Purchasing department with a high level of knowledge in Electronic Components (PCB assemblies, LED´s, Resistors, Control units, Capacitors, memories, connectors, all in SMD for SMT process) as well as in their production processes and volume consolidation.
At least, 3 years of experience performing a managerial function attending international negotiations and reports.
Knowledge of the main brands of electronic components.
Experience performing purchasing (electronic components) in Automotive Industry-must-.
Experience with ERP system – SAP MM.
Proficient in MS Office programs – Excel and PowerPoint.
Advanced level in English –must-.
Strong data analysis capabilities.
Analytical skills, problem solving and continuous improvement oriented.
Ability to prioritize effectively in ambiguous situations.
ACTIVITIES
Implement, develop and prepare series purchasing department (electronics commodity) as well as, create new purchasing strategies for local organization in accordance with the global structure.
Establish and manage the standardized database of global suppliers to make agreements by bundling the local purchasing volume, focusing on efficient suppliers and optimizing the local process chain.
Analysis of the local market regarding to the goals and requirements of the business areas as well as preparation and updating of the supplier matrix.
Preparation of qualified supplier´s evaluations, development of alternative suppliers and strategies to reduce costs, achievement of technical, qualitative and other goals according to the requirements of the business areas in coordination with the global electronic component’s organization.
Define material cost changes (budgeting) in coordination with the superiors in order to create a basis for planning and to achieve the goals of the local organization but also of the business area.
Consolidate annual material requirements and carry out local negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal purchase prices.
Support in negotiations and contract drafting to reduce costs, as well as in the optimization of processes between suppliers and Hella and the fulfillment of Hella´s interests considering deadlines, quality, quantity and delivery conditions.
Lead the purchasing team (electronics commodity), through the development of their potential, effectiveness and individual abilities in order to meet the department goals.
