Date: Feb 2, 2024- Location: Mazapil, ZAC, MX, 98230**Job Location: Empleados Peñasquito Mine Site****Workplace Type**:Onsite****Job Grade: 108****Employee Referral Amount: United States Dollar****About this role**:What will you be responsible for?The Project Management role reports to the Peñasquito General Manager.This position is in charge of:Commercial Strategy Development: Collaborate with the project group to formulate and execute commercial strategies that enhance the value proposition of sustaining capital projects.Project management Leadership: Lead and manage sustaining capital and development projects, overseeing project contracting, procurement, local procurement, and resource synergy within.To manage the CAPEX / OPEX process integration within SC for critical SC commodities and categories, as well as Life-Cycle Management methodology and Capital Effectiveness (Investment system) process integration.Communicate the Commercial vision for Capital Projects and build strong working relationships with all stakeholders.Regional Collaboration: Foster relationships with peers across the region and country, facilitating knowledge exchange and sharing best practices to drive project success.Social & Environmental Relations: Fully support S&ER project commitments in the local communities. Work with S&ER on the development and execution of community projects.**In this role you will**:Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:**Health and Safety**- Provide a leadership role on all Safety issues, ensuring that the Projects team, Project Safety team, Commercial team, and directly managed contractors act as a team in working towards an integrated safety plan.- Support FRM by integrating the safety plan into design, construction, education, and Critical Control Verifications.- Operational Excellence- Manage the project portfolio through concept, budget, and investment approval through execution, handover, and closeout.- Maintain systems for managing early project engineering and setting budgets.- Developed and led the project group's commercial strategies for the safe and successful execution of the sustaining capital portfolio.- Develop and maintain strategies to track project costs for each project in the portfolio.- Develop and maintain strategies to maintain a clear view of each project's schedule and schedule progress.- Maintain open communication and project stakeholder management with the Site Leadership Team.- Provide and maintain a review process for the General Manager to review all potential projects and assist in.- Promote the Project Management Team to act in the best interest of Newmont and the greater Peñasquito community.**People**- Confirm that a succession plan is implemented for the critical leadership positions within the Project Management Team.- Develop and drive a culture of integrity, ethics, compliance, open communication, and working with others in the successful execution of projects- Sustainability and external relations- Support the development of a long-term sustainable local sourcing and importation policy at both "local-local" and national levels.- Interface with critical clients at site and region, ensure adequate visibility of the Commercial Projects strategy, and build and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients and client satisfaction.The above responsibilities are the main responsibilities of the position. The position also develops other activities that are not included in this document and the immediate supervisor is responsible for informing such activities.**Your training, skills and experience checklist**:Here is what we would need to see from you!**Education**- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, and construction management.- Master's Degree (desirable).- PMI certification (desirable).**Experience**- Minimum 15+ years of relevant project commercial experience, including multi-million USD projects.- Mining, construction, Management of EPC/M contracts, Multidisciplinary engineering management, and construction management experience is preferred.- Proven record of delivering projects safely, on-time, on-budget with stakeholder agreement on the successful outcome.- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), as well as costing and budgeting concepts and techniques.- Experience with SAP system or another ERP system on SCHM modules.**Skills**- Excellent negotiation and people management skills.- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.- Computer literate and skilled in using the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.), as well as Adobe and other software tools.- Supervise, manage, mentor, train and evaluate staff.- Time Management and Sense of Urgency skills.- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and set priorities with the team.- Proficient in **English and Spanish** **(desirable)- Advanced interpersona
