As a PO/BA in Software Shared Services you'll have a chance to make a positive impact in patients’ lives by using your business and leadership skills to help software development teams develop and deliver valuable solutions for different areas across AZ. These solutions will contribute indirectly and directly to improve the health of people who uses our medicines.
Role and Responsibilities
You will act as “Proxy Product Owner” for our local Development teams, therefore you’ll be expected to perform most of the Product Owner responsibilities as much as feasible possible considering you’ll not be an actual PO.
The Proxy Product Owner is the person responsible for managing the Product Backlog for the local development team. Product Backlog management includes:
Clearly expressing Product Backlog items;
Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions;
Optimizing the value of the work the Development Team performs;
Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next; and,
Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.
The Proxy Product Owner may do the above work or have the Development Team do it. However, the Proxy Product Owner remains accountable.
The Proxy Product Owner represent the desires of a committee, stakeholders or an actual Product Owner in the Product Backlog.
The Proxy Product Owner must make sure the stakeholders or actual PO decisions are visible in the content and ordering of the Product Backlog.
3+ years as PO or Agile BA for Software Development teams performing all or most of the responsibilities described above.
Experience engaging project stakeholders not familiar with Scrum.
Some traditional project management experience (e.g. create project documentation, manage communications to stakeholders, negotiate schedule with stakeholders, provide status reports to stakeholders not familiar with Agile methods
