What do you get to do in this
position?

The North America Procurement Sr. Manager of
Strategic Projects is responsible for the direct management of a team Project
and Program Managers which support the planning and execution of strategic
projects related to supply chain transformation, cost reduction, and/or
regulatory compliance. Projects may
include QVE (quality value engineering), CoS (change of supplier), and SBO
(supply base optimization). The manager is expected to coordinate regionally
with Business Units and globally productivity teams focused on QVE and or
COS. The Sr. Manager of Strategic
Projects is the key individual responsible to proactively coordinate and align
plant level Technical Productivity savings project identified by Material
Productivity Leaders (MPL) within the different North America Manufacturing
plant clusters and work directly with the different Managers of the MPL teams
to ensure aligned execution, review, and escalation as needed. He/She is recognized as a key Purchasing
Professional in the North America Purchasing Technical Productivity Center of
Excellence (TP COE).

Essential Responsibilities

- Management and maintenance of a team of certified
professional Project Managers

- Maintenance of project details in several cost
& savings tracking systems and project execution systems

- Technical Productivity savings analysis and forecasting

- Cost Analysis (Total Cost of Ownership) for proposed and ongoing ideas
and projects

- Technical Feasibility investigation and management with design
engineering resources

- PCR (Project Charter Request) creation and coordination with Business
Units

- Project Resource Forecasting, Planning, and Workload Management

Qualifications

This job
might be for you if You fit the following Requirements:

- 4 years education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
or Engineering ; MBA, Master’s degree in International Business / Engineering /
Supply

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing/procurement or operation
team of a Multinational corporation

- Strong experience in manufacturing operations, project management,
and/or purchasing/procurement

- Spoken and written fluent communication in English are a must

- Mechanical & Electrical Engineering understanding

- Strategic thinking

- Cross cultural awareness

- Capability of handling multiple and conflicting priorities and
effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment

- Problem solving and analytical skills

- PMP Training or Certification is a plus

- Team player and leadership skills

- Organized, process driven but pragmatic

- Able to achieve results via Influence

- Able to travel (up to 15%) domestically in Mexico as well as
internationally to USA (USA visa is required).
