- Execute the activities on material planning, production planning, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions within to ensure correct supply levels for operation.

- Support on resolving material related issues due to supply based problem, inventory errors or demand changes.

- Manages the purchase orders by planning material requirements using an MRP System, executing the action plans that are suggested.

- Maintains the material requirement plans by means of the on time update of records of every part number under their responsibility in the MRP software used by the company.

- Primary back up to the Master production scheduling process (this would include all corresponding duties related to the process).

- Purchasing of inventory items with Mexican/US vendors.

- Purchasing of non-inventory items as requested from Mexico.

- Coordinates with planner to maintain materials plans, which synchronize the plant’s global material flow.

- Analyzes Proposals from Suppliers, Analyzes Prices and formulates Purchase (P.O.’s) or Work (W.O.’s) Orders.

- Cost saving opportunities: Sourcing of materials and identification of cost savings.

-Evaluates suppliers, and develops initial contacts with new suppliers according to the requirements. Request samples for testing, sampling incoming materials, vendor rating programs, vendor certification.

- Can perform the Initial contacts for new products and can participate in the negotiation process.

- Maintains standard operating procedures in the purchasing function according to ISO requirements.

- Liaison between San Diego and Tijuana, with regards to production coordination and timely supply of items to San Diego Finish Good warehouse and sterilizer in order to align with customer service levels.

- Maintain quarterly supplier scorecards for all key suppliers as defined by the Approved Supplier List.

- Actively monitor open purchase order report for past due orders and report accordingly.

- Prepare for, and assist with all ISO audit requirements.

Experiencia y requisitos:
• Bachelor degree on Administration, Engineering or related.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Advanced English level.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Purchasing experience (desired).
• MRP Systems experience.
