As a Personnel Records Clerk at Caterpillar, you will have an opportunity to enter hourly profiles into the corporate system, process and maintain personnel record and perform a variety of personnel related duties.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Receiving hourly profiles from facilities. Comparing profiles with move letters and on-line
chronological history, making any changes to correct discrepancies and entering into corporate system.
* Processing hourly and salaried property clearances, leave of absences and return to work passes.
* Working with Labor Relations and move coordinators on matters such as moves in error, separations and absence records by providing information and codes and furnishing absence records.
* Performing as backup for receptionist as necessary.
* Processing and maintaining personnel records including payroll, moves, annual performance ratings and evaluations for hourly and salaried employees at facilities.
* Providing information to facilities relative to action codes, pay rates and evaluations.
* Monitoring employee history for merit increases and evaluations.
* Providing guidance to managers and secretaries on absence reporting.
* Monitoring incoming history folders for ADA items that should not be recorded in history folder.
* Performing a variety of personnel related duties such as following up on delinquent performance evaluations, providing employment and credit verifications and generating confidential reports from data base for management review.
* Updating education history in system for employees, providing guidance to employees on W4 tax forms and general benefits questions when necessary, typing letters/memos, answering phone and files documents.
Required Qualifications:

* Previous experience in personnel areas on various clerical jobs related to processing employee records.
* Should have knowledge of company practices and procedures, ability to make programming decisions to run queries along with good typing, filing, data entry and communications skills.

Desired Qualifications:
* Human resources related experience.
