Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Operations Leader
SCOPE:
Responsible/accountable for manage all aspects of manufacturing for assigned production areas, including personnel requirements and management of production standards, safety programs, quality, continues improvement, housekeeping and schedule attainment. Comply with all local, state and BD safety regulations, procedures, quality policies and practices through appropriate communication, training, and application of sound quality assurance principles; communicate to management key measure results on a timely basis.
Will be expected to lead projects, lead changes, contribute to new innovative ideas to meet the Operations goals, lead Engineers to meet production schedules.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide a high level of safety awareness, maintaining a safe and clean work environment that ensure the safety and well being of employees and assisting the Operation Manager in administering BD safety regulations, policies and procedures to comply with all local, state, federal and Government Regulatory Agency inspections
2. Collaborate with Production Planning to establish production plans and schedules, maintain department resource capacity for personnel (H/C) and equipment, providing the Operations Manager the resource level change requirements to comply with monthly production plan and monitor the performance of the production plan versus schedule in the most cost effective manner; ensure manufactured products meet the established quality requirements and obtain a proper material utilization.
3. Leads Engineers to improv manufacturing efficiency, improving product quality, improving customer satisfaction and reducing manufacturing costs Supports the introduction of new products into production floor.
4. Provide leadership to the manufacturing team while focusing on equipment reliability by supporting overall business results, coordinating the planning, scheduling and execution of the production plans activities that support team and business objectives.
5. Provide leadership to the manufacturing team to comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles to maintain the process quality records through SPC or statistical sampling for achieving quality of conference levels.
6. Maintain a Technically proficient workforce through coaching, developing and utilizing an effective training program.
7. Communicate of relevant information with all levels of the organization in an appropriate manner ensuring that communication is timely, open, accurate and clear.
8. Provide leadership to the manufacturing team to implement and execute corporate and strategic plans in Lean Manufacturing and Continues Improvements to achieve operational goals including quality improvement, customer service level, inventory accuracy, supply-chain flexibility, productivity improvement and cost reduction in products, methods, procedures and/or equipment.
9. Participate in developing of the annual budget for the assigned production areas and assist the Operation Manager to manage and controls the budget on his department.
10. Communicates with subordinates and help them set goals to develop their personal growth, motivate them by providing regular, timely and positive comments and recognition, maintaining a favorable atmosphere in the assigned production areas.
11. Assist the Operation Manager in subjects regarding to production, planning, equipment, area, budget utilization, materials flow, layouts, safety plan, incentive programs, etc.
12. Work as a team player with internal and external functional departments and BD plants within the organization
13. Maintain a processes workforce flexibility to respond to quick unexpected strategic changes.
14. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
B.S. in Engineering, Sciences, Operations, Industrial Managements on related field, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
A) Excellent communication, interpersonal and technical skills.
B) Five (5) years of experience in operations and/or technical manufacturing support and supervis
