The Stahl Mexico Operations Team is looking for an Operational Excellence Leader.The position of Operational Excellence Leader will be responsible for defining and implementing Operational Excellence standards and Continuous Improvement initiatives, maintaining effective governance processes and ensuring continuous improvement goals in production and logistics are met.
**Responsibilities**:- Introduce Operational Excellence as a concept in the site culture, lean processes and process controls methods- Ensure compliance with Stahl safety standards in all operations, take necessary measures to always act safely- Identify, plan and implement Safety, Quality and Productivity projects for Continuous Improvement and Operational Efficiency in the Operation area: Logistics and Production- Implement manufacturing practices that enable a reduction of manufacturing times, zero defects, zero waste and zero accidents, as well as managing the budget- Implement best practices to optimize logistics activities and costs of receiving raw materials, pre-weighing activities and shipments- Implement capital projects in plant, together with the operations and engineering management, that guarantee the continuity of the production process, continuous improvement and operational efficiency (5's, OEE, TPM) in accordance with the Site Development Plan- Promote company-wide Operational Excellence initiatives and coordinate an active program of Continuous Improvement initiatives at the site, in line with activities proposed by the Global Manager of Operational Excellence- Define and implement standards to reduce variation in manufacturing processes, in cooperation with R&D, Quality Management and technology departments- Analyze the deviations of raw material, process, quality, quantity and/or important delivery dates that may generate extra costs, as well as incidents with personnel- This position acts as a back up to the Operations Manager position in the absence of the occupant, which requires leadership skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teamsExperience- 5+ years of experience in similar or equivalent position in chemical companies- Chemistry or Industrial Engineer Bachelor´s Degree- Advanced Business English- Experience with resource, production process and general maintenance administration- Experience with process equipment (reactors, pumps, filters, etc.
