Job Description The New Product Planning Manager LATAM will report directly to the VP, LATAM. In this role, this individual will be responsible for the early commercial strategy, opportunity assessment and competitive analysis to support potential future commercial launches of Biogen’s pipeline assets in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia; Chileand Mexico. He/she will be responsible for providing commercial assessments on assets in development ranging from Phase II to Phase III. He/she will partner closely with the Global Organization (Global Product Development/Commercialization teams, Global Market Research, Regulatory, etc.) to drive the early strategic analysis and approach to Biogen launch plans in LATAM. This is an opportunity to help shape the strategy and execution to bring potentially transformational treatments to patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases in LATAM.

Role

For pipeline products:

· At the appropriate time based on launch timing expectations, evaluate the business potential in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Chile. This includes interaction with customers, local Biogen organizations (all functions, not only Commercial) and other stakeholders to understand prevalence, current practice, diagnosis availability, market access requirements, etc.

· Collaborate with local teams to prepare and recommend to the GMs the prelaunch and launch timing/ plans for each of the markets. Ensure that countries plan and execute prelaunch activities (medical, regulatory, product supply, patient associations etc.), in line with global product plans, adapted to the LATAM markets.

· Liaise with global teams to gain disease and product understanding. In addition the NPP manager should understand the questions and requirements from global teams, adapt them to LATAM and provide the answers.

· Work with PDC teams, Medical and Regulatory to ensure that the registration target dates for LATAM are agreed between global and LATAM.

· Lead the commercial and market-opportunity assessments for Biogen’s late-stage pipeline (Phase II/III) for Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico, in partnership with local and global teams.

· Translate key insights from market research and local KOLs into clear, actionable strategies for Biogen’s future treatments.

Qualifications

· 3-5 years Product management experience in multinational Specialty Pharma, at a regional level (preferred) , including launching of new products.

· Pharma Sales experience would be a plus.

· Strategic perspective and ability to develop a financially sound business case.

· Demonstrated ability to informally lead multifunctional teams.

· Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.

· Fluent in English. Fluent in Spanish and/ or Portuguese would be an important plus.

· Self-starter with a track record demonstrating accountability, ability to multi-task and sense of urgency.

· Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical, communication and project management skills to effectively translate ideas and insights into actionable plans

· Demonstrated ability to create clear local commercial strategies and work across functions to facilitate seamless global/local execution

· Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across multiple functions.

Additional Information

· Potential to grow into a Business Unit lead position in an affiliate within 2-3 years.
