In CompuCom,the Services Solution Architect – CLOUDis an expert in the services, processes, tools, and technologies necessary to develop, communicate and refine a complete solution for a major service area (End User Computing, Infrastructure Management) or a complex technology area (IOT, Security, Digital Transformation).
In support of the Solution Director, a Service Solution Architect solutions one or more major service areas or complex technology areas to meet Client requirements and to assure that the portfolio and capabilities, as well as industry trends, are utilized in creating a compelling solution.
The Service Solution Architect effectively represents their solution area(s) in client pursuits, including validating costs, writing proposals, presenting to clients, and crafting SOWs.
Create Solutions, for assigned opportunities, which address client business problems and promotes consideration of products and services to meet such requirements. Deliverables include completed cost models, proposal content, presentation content, and SOW content.Work collaboratively with Sales, other solution team members, Finance, and Delivery SMEs to assure the solutions meet client requirements and are approved.
Attend Solution Services team meetings, follow administrative processes, and participate in internal team projects.
Participate in creating and/or updating solution document templates such as presentations, costing/pricing models, template SOWs, and related deliverables.
Practice continuous learning through certifications, attending company and/or industry training, reviewing existing client delivery, gaining experiential exposure to company toolsets and delivery teams, and working closely with Delivery BU SMEs.
Level of Education: Bachelor´s degree or equivalent experience.
English, with Canadian French a plus.
Years of Study: Minimum 4 year experience in related field. Area relevant to Solution or Technology area preferred, but acceptable experience can substitute.
MULTI-CLOUD SERVICES:Demonstrable understanding of Multi-Cloud offerings comprising Compute, Storage, and Backup infrastructure including:Cloud hosting comprising private, public, and hybrid cloud options for on-premise, co-location, and Public Cloud such as AWS and Azure.
Compute infrastructure covering physical and virtual implementations with common OEMs (HP, Dell, Nutanix) and Tool vendors (VMWare, etc.)
Storage and Backup infrastructure for on-premise and cloud options, with OEMS and tools such as NetApp, EMC, HP, VMWare, Net Backup, Veeam, etc.
Good understanding of Server Management for Multi-Cloud comprising:
- In depth knowledge of Event Monitoring, Triage, and Escalation processes based on using tools such as EMC Smarts, Solar Winds, etc. and associated concepts of SNMP traps, Thresholds, Collectors, etc.
- Demonstrable experience with a variety of managed services support areas such as Server OS, Provisioning, Storage, Backup, Middleware/Database, Email, File&Print, Virtual Desktop (Citrix, etc.), Active Directory, Identity Management, and related areas.
Familiar with basic Security knowledge such as SIEM tools, logging, SAS 70 / SSAE 16 / SOC certifications, and other common security awareness for MultiCloud managed services.
REQUIRED: ITIL Foundation Certification
In-depth knowledge of Network technology comprising Switch, Router, Firewall, Wireless, Security, and Voice infrastructure, along with circuits (T1, MPLS, SD-WAN, Broadband, Etc.)
Demonstrable experience with a variety of managed services support areas such as Network Device Provisioning, Monitoring, Change Management, Performance Management, Reporting
Demonstrable knowledge of monitoring and management tools such as EMC Smarts / Solar Winds / Other Tools and associated considerations for collectors, performance metrics (MOS, Netflow, etc.)
Demonstrable experience with Network Technology Refresh Projects such as Retail Store upgrades of routers and circuits, etc.
Familiar with basic Security knowledge such as SIEM tools, logging, and basic security awareness for Network managed services
REQUIRED: ITIL Foundation Certification
PREFERRED: Technical certifications in Networking technologies (Cisco / Fortinet / Other OEM certifications, etc.)
