Position Summary:
This position is part of the CAD Mexico Vertical Markets which in turn is part of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). Mining Vertical provides a wide range of analysis and sampling solutions to end users of Minerals and Mining. Is a 1,3 billion USD business around the world but it is just starting this new business structure in Mexico. We are a multinational with a local flavor of being a business start-up in Mexico which brings a very challenging and exciting environment in our day to day activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Sales of Thermo Scientific products into the Mining and Minerals industry, more specifically a range of on-line analysis, sampling solutions (online analyzers for flotation process, laboratory equipment for material / ore analysis, Density and Level gauges, Particulate and Ambient Analyzers), as also equipment for bulk material handling (BMH) and beneficiation/concentrator applications. For the Metals industry, we can offer a wide range of solutions from other Business Units and the challenge here will be to have a Key Account focus with main Mining Companies around the geographical zone assigned.
Responsible to identify, develop and manage the day to day sales, medium-term projects, and long-term contracts, to maximize our market coverage and increase our market share and brand presence in our target markets. Business development responsibility to identify and develop new sales for all our product lines into Mining and Metals.
Responsible to develop close relationships with our key target end customers, into the Mining and Metals industries, based on the assigned geographical zone.
The territory scope of this position includes Mexico.
This person will interact with areas such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Services, Project Management, Engineering teams and Research & Development Teams
Qualifications:Successful history of capital equipment sales experience, especially in the Mining Steel industry - minimum of 8 years
We look for a Mining person with a proven track record in selling engineered solutions/systems. Having had experience with Grupo Mexico, Gold Corp and Frisco among other mining companies is a key differentiator.
Strong network in the Mining industry (including access to high level of key decision makers, not only operations people), with knowledge of the main mining plants for Copper, Gold, Silver, and Iron in Mexico.
Demonstrated sales leadership based on intellectual and personal integrity and interpersonal skills.
Experience in business development using Partners or Channels.

Education:Preferably a person with strong metallurgical background: Metallurgical Engineer / Other options: Chemical or Mechanical Engineer.
Having an MBA or Master in Administration will be a key differentiation
Fluent in English and Spanish.
