General Job Description
This position requires a person who has excellent interpersonal communication skills, understands business principles and sales strategies, and can work effectively with software programs.This person must build trusting relationships throughout the organization and with channel partners to allow for successful completion of goals and objectives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
:Ensure implementation of business strategy in a way that is consistent and complimentary with the team, department, and segment goals to achieve sales targets and planned profits.
:Organize and lead individuals both inside and outside the organization to achieve business goals.
:Contribute to the strategy and design of the CPP, then change, implement, and maintain the program.
:Collaborate with Sales Managers and Sales Teams to develop then execute partner growth plans; follow:up with quarterly meetings.
:This is a field based role, requiring regular contact with partners with in:person meetings in the field.
:Design scorecards for the CPP portal, provide reporting to partners and summary data to management.
:Develop strategies for partner branch engagement, promotions, pricing, and catalog placement.
:Manage special projects to realize specific short:term objectives or establish new processes.
:Lead the Customer Service team in active participation sales objectives suchas:sales campaign delivery and execution, PLCM risk mitigation (move to new products), backorder management, sell:off of excess and obsolete inventory, EOE engagement, and other objectives as they are developed in the future.
:Provide Customer Service product and systems training, improve skills in upselling and telemarketing, and develop individual talents.
:Primarily work within the team, but also support business unit efforts as directed by the group director.
:Maintain a safe working environment themselves and others around them.
Education and Skill Requirements
:Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.An advanced business degree is desired.
:A minimum of five years of experience in field sales or customer service, preferably in a supervisor or management role.
:Exhibit forward:looking thinking abilities to proactively seek opportunities and propose solutions to problems.
:Communicate regularly with field sales directors, managers, and application engineers.Be able to effectively present programs to channel partners in an easy to follow and understandable way.
:Be self:motivated, inventive, and possess outstanding leadership skills coupled with sound business judgment.
:Strong interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate with a range of people from machine shop personnel to business owners and officers.
:Possess excellent analytical skills with the ability to learn new technologies to support the needs of the business.
:An understanding of sales channel processes and dynamics.
:Robust SAP and IT systems know how.
:Familiarity with metal working tools.
:Gooddecision makingability and judgment.
:Be able to multi:task, meet specified deadlines and maintain a flexible, positive attitude.
:Must be detail oriented with no tolerance for substandard work or distractions.
