Mondelez International is looking for vacancy: Line Leader.
Position Purpose
Line Leader owns the full end to end line, from material preparation, mixing, baking shop, packing to palletizing.Deliver its overall SQCDSM targets and is fully responsible for people management and their capability development, machinery operation and maintenance of its basic conditions, and finally continuous improvement through loss elimination based on ZERO mindset and experience, displaying strong technical and people skills, who can grow to take on higher roles in the organization within Manufacturing or other ISC functions.
Ensures safety procedures are fully followed by the line crew (BOS, Risk Prediction,
Safety Map) and near misses or safety incidents are used to establish zero safety issues mentality on the line.
Ensures Quality performance of the line by following quality procedures, managing material quality and utilization, preventing holds and implementing actions to properly follow up and eliminate consumer complaints.
Ensures the grow of his team capabilities through application of IL6S and represents the line during assessment/audits with the core team in line with the company's values and principles.
As a full-time role working in the administrative hours, also supports shift work when needed depending on line/project requirements.
Delivers overall process system ownership to ensure the achievement of the line goals and the implementation of process, standards and systems to sustainably maintain and continual improve the line performance aligned with the business needs.
Supports Process Engineer on implementation and execution of GE building blocks, Manufacturing Standards, while driving the Loss Cycle Management (Loss intelligence, Loss eradication, Loss prevention) and other operational excellence systems (MSA, RTT, etc..). Owns the AM Pillar steps implementation in the full line, ensuring E2E AM activities and developing Line Operators and Technicians technical capabilities (CIL, Centerline, Tagging, SOC, HTR).
Identifies cost improvements and opportunities to improve Quality, Safety, GE, reduce B&R and total Waste, and develop plans.
Owns and guide the definition of Line Master plan.
Main Responsibilities
Delivers on all SQCDSM targets for the line and owns 24x7 results of the line.
Translates Business and Factory Targets into line and unit targets and deploys them to the team following the Hoshin/Master plan process.
Directs line or area core teams: Front Line Leaders (Shift Supervisors), Line Operators and Process Engineer.
Ensures that each and every Mondelez Employee in the team has individual specific and measurable targets related to the line overall targets, and a clear understanding of what is expected from them.
Leads core team members making sure everyone has a work plan towards their professional and personal growth documented through respective IDP's. (IDP - Individual Development Plans tied to Hoshin/Master plans with regular 1:1 reviews).
Manages cost to budget, driving losses out with direct impact on Safety (TIR, near miss, first aids, etc), reduction of quality defects (CPM, Consumer Complaints, Material and Product PPM defect level, etc...), and GE improvement through application of IL6S tools and techniques.
Approves and comply with production planning, managing and participating with core on recruitment and continuously developing the Core team capabilities to deliver ZERO Accident, ZERO Quality Defect and ZERO Losses.
Conducts regular PDCA with the team to plan how the targets are going to be achieved, executes the plan and periodically checks and takes necessary actions to stay on track.
Runs and improves the DMS cycle for the line, guarantee excellent and consistent quality of DMS 1, DMS 2 and owns DMS 3, setting the 24 hours direction for his line team; Responsible for all line level disciplined reporting and updating results for the DMSs.
Ensures a training and development plans are in place to builds capability of the team related to IL6S as well as other areas (operation and maintenance).
Owns the improvement plans for the line and reports out on progress.
Owns GE Building Block strategy and execution, ensuring 100% timely completion of KAI's (CIL's, Centerline, Defect Found & Fixed, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling).
Plan, coordinate, monitor and improve all planned activities (Sanitation, Change-Over, Planned Maintenance, CIL, Centerline, Tagging, Elimination of Sources of Contamination and Hard to Reach Areas, etc...).
Ensures Hourly results monitoring with clear escalation process for quick resolution.
Ensures CIL completion and improvement is driving line results and establishing the operational excellence mind-set.
Makes sure Run to target / Manufacturing standards process 100% adherence.
Responsible for Waste improvement, rework usage and overweight reduction on the line.
Quickly resolves issues on the line and for the organization and demonstrates servant leadership in doing so, manages the team in line with company's values and High-Performance Work System principles.
Drives problem solving and tracks RCA completion at the proper level in the organization ensuring completion and implementation of sustainable corrective/preventive actions.
Ensures that operation team and line/lines are making progress for the plant while leading the IL6S implementation in the area working with plant central resources and pillar teams. Ensures work processes are in place and being used effectively to drive sustainable line performance.
Builds his/her own mastery in the operation, people management and IL6S, based on Skill Matrix requirements.
Participates on Performance Improvement Teams & Network Improvement Team (where applicable) sharing and replicating best practices while working to optimize the overall network supply chain.
Leads capacity planning for the assets under his/her control (Blackout calendar) together with the materials management team. Ensures accurate attainment planning rates are in place.
Spends more than 50% of his/her time on the core activities, in the line.
Key point of contact for Line new initiatives which includes product innovation, new materials, trials and introduction of new technologies (Automation, IDF, etc...).
Support Process Engineer on generate, maintain and report the historical data for downtime (Planned and Unplanned stoppages), waste (B&R, Rework), critical to quality (CTQ), critical to process (CTP), centerlines compliance, audit execution. Ensure appropriate support to the line issues.
Ensures stablished Standard Operational Procedures for Start-Ups, Shut Downs, Change-Overs, rounds and inspections are followed.
Supports the maintenance plan (electrical and mechanical) scheduling and execution, providing input as needed.
