We are looking to appoint a Commercial IT leader accountable for IT in Latin America, based in Mexico City. LATAM Area Commercial consists of all markets in Latin America including Brazil. LATAM is a dynamic, collaborative and growing business.
At AstraZeneca, our IT organisation is focussed on pushing the boundaries of technology to achieve positive business outcomes. In Commercial IT, we are focussed on smoothing the patient journey through tech Innovation and supporting the growth of the business through impactful launches, field effectiveness and digital/multi channel capabilities – all founded on deep partnerships with our business colleagues. The role also covers Medical in-market and to an extent, the Enabling functions. The scope of capabilities focus includes Reporting/Information Mgt, Digital, CRM and Learning capabilities. Our capabilities are predominantly created and delivered by our global IT organisations and are cloud based and mobile enabled – this include Infrastructure.
This role works with the LATAM Commercial leadership team to shape the organisation’s future through the implementation of innovative new technologies to support the growth of the LATAM Commercial business. The role will drive the IT vision and strategy and business transformation for the Area and ensure team and individual performance to deliver the business strategy and objectives. The role partners with the leadership team to identify portfolio priorities and areas for innovation. The role has a number of direct reports across LATAM markets where a key focus is on giving developmental opportunities to grow people and providing coaching.
Establish and maintain strategic working relationships with LATAM Area leadership team
Develop an in-depth understanding of business areas’ strategies and needs for the future and ensure alignment with the IT Strategy. Support business change, acting as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders, facilitating synergies and alignment across the area.
Proactively identify opportunities for IT to deliver innovative solutions to customer issues/challenges and situations where leading edge technological innovations can be deployed to business advantage.
Represent IT at area-level and gain commitment to IT initiatives by applying specialist knowledge of services provided by IT and by marketing established, new and changed IT services to the customer groups
Assess, prioritise and effectively communicate customer needs, and initiate projects in partnership with the International Region IT team.
Encourage proactive collaboration and communication between Markets in LATAM (and beyond) to ensure identification of best practice and synergies.
Proactively engage with Region IT functions to ensure that global plans are developed with an appropriate understanding of the area/MC commercial strategy, business requirements and constraints
Oversee the delivery of the capability projects into the markets with quality, in partnership with business change leaders.
Drive transparency on exploitation of capabilities, increasing the value achieved from these investments.
Work with the business area to develop measurable strategy and portfolio performance metrics and ensure development of customer scorecards. Define and monitor the delivery of value through IT projects and initiatives
