About the Role
The Associate Employment Counsel will provide legal advice in labor matters to different business units across the region. This role is critical in order to mitigate labor and employment risks to the company.
What You’ll Do
Work closely with our Employment Latam Counsel and other legal team members on compliance, litigation, transactions, privacy and policy matters as well as broader business issues across the region
Hands-on work in all areas of direct employee lifecycle and third parties as well as independent contractors
Provide strategic and proactive legal advice to internal stakeholders
Effectively manage outside counsel to achieve employment law objectives across the region and reduce labor and employment contingencies
Understand, interpret and apply both national and cross-border labor regulations as applicable to Uber’s business model
What You’ll Need
A minimum of 8 years experience with preference for mix of in-house and law firm background but we will consider other candidates if they meet the rest of the requirements
Professional proficiency in English & Spanish
Academic credentials and Law Degree
Substantive knowledge and expertise in all employment matters
Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic about Uber
