We are looking for a Demand Planning Head to create the Weekly Demand Forecasting to support the supply chain operating model and IBP for a CPG business. The role manages end-to-end demand forecasting (both volume and value) across multiple products to improve customer service levels and to reduce end-to-end COGS, inventory, and working capital. The Demand Planning Head also must cross-functionally partner with commercial and supply chain teams to generate baseline forecasts at Item/Supplier/Location/Customer/Channel levels with high accuracy.
Responsibilities
Provide detailed, timely, and accurate short & long term demand projections, delivering on supply chain metrics (MAPE, FVA, Bias, S&OP Compliance).
Utilize Exception Reporting and analysis to enable identification and management of forecast accuracy impacts, and week-to-week forecast changes.
Utilize data sources such as consumption, stock in trade, shipments and commercial/customer intelligence to generate insights to drive forecast accuracy.
Lead demand planning, analyzing and accurately predicting future demand.
Anticipate future business requirements by establishing a strategic roadmap which advances the organizational and process capabilities required to sustain world class supply chain performance.
Support the North American Business unit’s operational and financial objectives to deliver a consensus-driven demand plan that optimizes the balance between market opportunity and supply capability.
Develop processes to improve forecast accuracy, increase collaboration with internal and external partners, and ensure that the translation of demand into the supply planning process works seamlessly.
Continuously work with finance and commercial partners to successfully integrate and reconcile Business Planning & Demand Planning processes.
Requirements
Fluent English and Spanish (interview will be in English).
Forecasting system knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Power Bi, or other data analysis tools.
Experience in building what-if simulations for forecasting, stochastic modeling.
Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics and KPIs.
Food and food processing industry knowledge: organic grains, sweeteners, seeds, and legumes.
Six Sigma certifications preferred.
Experience in forecasting, forecast management and weekly forecasting cycle preferred.
Strategic thinking with the ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, technical and non-technical information to all organization levels.
Demonstrated exceptional analytical skills and an understanding of business beyond core functional expertise is required. Ability to minimize risks to the company & remove obstacles.
