Markem-Imaje delivers fully integrated solutions that enable product quality and safety, regulatory and retailer compliance, better product recalls and improved manufacturing processes. 1.- IDENTIFICATION JOB TITLE: INDIRECT CHANNEL MANAGER SECTOR/REGION: MEXICO AREA/DEPARTMENT: SALES COUNTRY: MEXICO REPORTS TO: COUNTRY SALES MANAGER JOB SUMMARY The Indirect Channel Manager has full ownership for managing and growing business with indirect business partners (distributors) in Mexico. The objective of this position is to drive market leadership and Mexican business growth in a sustainable manner through indirect channels. The indirect channel manager will work closely with external and internal stakeholders to drive sales and marketing activities effectively to achieve the sales goal. This position will report directly to the commercial manager of Mexico. 2.- ORGANIZATION CHART Operations Manager Canada & México Superior position to the Direct Supervisor Indirect Channel Manager Country Sales Manager Position Position of Direct Supervisor INTERPERSONAL Positions with which the Indirect Channel Manager relates to the execution of the main responsibilities Name of the positions which interacting Name of activities in common Sales Manager Business quotidian, partners performance follow-ups and deployment Route-to-Market plan Technical Service Manager Eventual technical support requested by partners and assure all partners are proper trained in MI technology/services Sales Support Analyst IB reports and weekly forecast information Account Managers Information exchange related transferred accounts SSAR´s Work together in recovery plans for accounts served by partners and develop holistic strategies to increase market share Operations Manager Regular business reviews 1.- IDENTIFICATION. 3.- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES. Manage, develop and grow the indirect business to achieve annual goals and objectives; Collaborate with indirect partners to define the objectives, goals and expectations for their respective territories; Conduct guided customer visits with your dealer's sales teams to develop your product knowledge skills; Planning and execution of indirect sales strategy to achieve revenue, profit and growth objectives in collaboration with the Mexico sales manager; Coordinate periodic visits with distribution partners. Lead the development of new distributors according to the needs of Markem-Imaje México. Evaluate and continuously improve the ""Route to Market"" plan for the Mexican market; Partner with internal stakeholders to proactively define and drive sales / marketing activities. Activities to include the identification of market opportunities and threats, the monitoring of competitor activities and the execution of commercial activities through the indirect channel (for example, new product launches, price reviews, marketing promotions); Analyze and monitor various KPIs, always promoting that distributors make use of the tools provided by Markem-Imaje, such as: Saleforce.com, PSSC, Spelog, etc. Conduct periodic reviews with distributors and present a weekly forecast of printer sales for the next 60 days; Obtain / report on market knowledge to help organization and distribution partners with future sales strategies. Partner with the pre-sales and marketing technical service team to capitalize on market knowledge. Network at industry events and trade shows to evaluate potential clients and future partners. Be the first point of contact (SPOC) within the organization to support all the activity of the distributors with the other functional areas: Customer Care, Marketing, Credit & Collection, Supply Chain, Technical Service; Being a main promoter and first trainer of the new technologies and solutions of Markem-Imaje, of which some are almost specific for the indirect channel, for example, 9330; Educate Partners on Markem-Imaje best practices: Install Base Management, Customers engagement; 4.- REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS. Organized, strong communicator, professional in appearance and demeanor; Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English; Motivated entrepreneur and has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Strive to achieve agreed objectives within the agreed time, even when additional effort is required; Optimistic, calm, constructive and results-oriented in difficult circumstances; Lead organizational change with effort and enthusiasm. Clear course proposals, roles, responsibilities, and deadlines to execute the vision are essential. Gather market / competitor information to make timely decisions to protect and / or strengthen Markem-Imaje's market position. Understanding and aptitude for the sales process and techniques in the industrial / manufacturing B2B sales environment. Advanced sales skills. Include confidently preparing / delivering group presentations (external and internal), negotiating agreements, and formal written proposals. Ability to train and support dealer sales staff and manage dealer relationships at all levels. Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and updates of the market environment for Senior Management. 5.- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 4-year college degree in engineering, business administration, marketing, or related discipline; Minimum of 10 years of experience related to the Sales position within a manufacturing or industrial distribution sales company. Proven track record of success in managing a sales team to reach the target or group of distributors and / or consecutive years of personal growth in sales. Proven experience in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and market environment updates for senior management. At least 5 years of experience in multinational / international organizations, preferably in consumer goods or in a similar environment. Leadership / project management in a matrix organization. Experienced and enthusiastic about new ways of relating to customers (LinkedIn). Promoting the brand, new products / solutions, increasing the contact portfolio of active clients and generating new clients. Ease of making presentations, trainings and conferences for a wide and varied audience. Excellent fluency for the English language both written and oral, at a business level Desired Tech Skills: PC in Microsoft / Microsoft Office environment CRM tool and process, Salesforce preferred Microsoft Excel with use for data preparation and analysis Professional Social Networks (LinkedIn) Specific working conditions or restrictions The candidate will be required to travel 50 percent or more through Mexico. The individual must be able to adjust to a travel advisory on very short notice and understand that, as necessary, work beyond and outside of standard business hours will be required.
