COMPETITION OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
The Canadian Embassy in Mexico City is pleased to announce a staffing process for an indeterminate position asHuman Resources Officerwithin the Common Service Delivery Point (CSDP) regional office. This staffing process will serve to build a pool of qualified candidates at the LE-07 level, which could also be used for indeterminate appointments or temporary assignment (acting) at the same level and for similar positions, within the whole Canadian Diplomatic Network in Mexico.
Job Descriptions:

Under the supervision of the Common Service Delivery Point (CSDP) Operations Manager, the Human Resources Officer is accountable for the delivery of LES human resources services to client missions in the assigned geographic area of responsibility. The incumbent will provide advice and guidance to client missions covering a wide range of human resources portfolio operations, with a particular emphasis upon HR Planning and HR processes related to Staffing, Recruitment, Classification and HR organizational structures. The position will supervise two Human Resources Assistants.
General Information:

Closing date: March 05, 2019 at 23:59, Mexico City time
Start date: To be confirmed.
Level 7(Base salary at step 1= $ 387,258.00 MXN pesos per year (37.5 hours / week)
Please Note:The eligibility list from this competition may be used for openings at the same level for indeterminate and temporary opportunities within the Canadian Diplomatic Mission in Mexico. When you submit your application, you must specify if you wish to be considered for both types of employment.
Benefit package:
Schedule of 37.5 hours per week
Paid overtime
Fifteen days of vacation leave per year during the first two years and then it increases to twenty days
Christmas bonus (“Aguinaldo”) of one month of base salary (prorated)
Vacation allowance of 50% (prorated);
IMSS enrollment;
Savings Fund ceiling 13%;
Private life, dental and medical insurance (major and minor expenses)
Pension fund

Statement of Essential Qualifications:

Candidates are required toclearlydemonstratehow they meet the screening requirements (education, knowledge, experience, language) in their cover letter and CV.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree (título) from a recognized university in a related field (e.g. Human Resources, Business, Behavioural Psychology)
EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years *recent work experience in a Human Resources discipline in a large decentralized organization, in the key areas of either recruitment or positions classification
Experience in researching and analyzing information and in providing recommendations to managers in human resources disciplines
Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation, regulations and policies governing Human Resources disciplines
Experience in using corporate Human Resources systems to extract and analyse data
Experience in supervising staff providing administrative support
*Recent is defined as within the last 7 years
Rated Requirements:

Candidates must also meet the Rated Requirements shown below, which will be assessed through any of the following: written test, oral communication, roleplay, interviews and reference checks. All qualifications are non-compensatory.
