The role of Fragrance, Senior Marketing Manager in Mexico will be a local & regional expert cross category from consumer fragrances to fine fragrances that coordinates a team of marketing talent to deliver against business needs and objectives.
Core to the role are:
Identify the customer’s needs & opportunities to promote IFF fragrance solutions supporting commercial & growth objectives.
Drive & coordinate marketing categories activities from project conception to final completion at a regional level.
Gain deep understanding of fragrance brands and product portfolios in order to identify new opportunities in the market.
Talent Development and Coordination
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement the Mexican marketing strategy cross category, aligned with Global & Regional strategy.
Responsible for coordinating the analyzes of market dynamics and developing deep understanding of customer brands and strategies, including analysis of customer launches & trends, market /brands figures, and competitive landscape intelligence.
Share local strategy with regional marketing director and Local Commercial Director
Liaise with Global and Local Marketing Managers to provide input and sets priorities of region/country efforts, ensure consolidation of marketing tools plus deliverables for the region.
Translate Consumer insights, market knowledge and brand intelligence into actionable opportunities & fragrance solutions for our regional customers & global customers in the region.
Ensures marketing delivers customized push to market kits with brand implications at local Level.
Partner with account managers on core listing initiatives for key regional customers.
Liaise with Global and other Regional Marketing Category Managers to ensure consolidation of marketing tools.
Comfortable interacting with diverse groups, cross functions (Consumer Insights/Sales/Scent Design Group) and cross regions.
Promote an ongoing pipeline of product/category trends, in alignment with regional strategic priorities and account plans.
Be able to articulate company capabilities both internally and with customers.
Leverage company rand in the Category / Segment / Country/Region.
Foster innovative thinking in order to develop relevant concepts/insights which are in line with the category drivers and customer strategies that will help create unique fragrance solutions.
Publish creative/strategic information to inspire both internal and external customers in the region.
Develop an in-depth understanding of category consumer trends and future needs scenarios at a regional level, including gap analysis, competitors and market intelligence.
Translate cross category market trends and consumer lifestyle into relevant product and brand concepts
Strengthen relationships with key regional customers.
Engage on customer briefs when appropriate by partnering with sales team.
Collaborate with Sales on assessing opportunities and develop/deliver adapted fragrance offering and presentations.
Be fully integrated to the customer team and become preferred contact of customer on market / consumers purposes.
Mentor more junior marketing members to ensure knowledge sharing.
Required SkillsProject management skills to create structures, milestones, summary reports and delivering against deadlines.
Ability to build marketing presentation with strong presentation skills.
Proficient in operating Microsoft environment programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Interested in developing creative skills to manage Adobe Photoshop basics.
Creativity and Passion for fragrances and for consumers with strong interest in product, concept, olfactive development.
Fluent in Business English
Required ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred in Business or Marketing)
Minimum 10-15 years of Fragrance Industry experience in Marketing or internal relevant experience or marketing experience in adjacent industries (preferably FMCG, Flavors, Chemical/Ingredients) or in B2B Marketing with a strong know how of B2C Marketing in an international environment.
