A. Provide business partnership to all areas of plant with regard to functional expertise and cross-functional support; providing guidance and education as needed to plant personnel to achieve financial objectives. Act as advisor and provide counsel to plant staff and personnel regarding financial operations and interpretation of financial information.
B. Ensurepliance of accounts payable activities, such as: invoice processing, debit memo processing, recurring payment and supplier payment follow-up activities, payroll and benefits, hold resolution, andpliance with electronic invoicing regulations and addressing supplier payment issues, among others.
C. Ensurepliance of accounts receivables activities, such as: daily invoicing, credit memo issuance, management of the monthly cash inflows and cash applications, customer payment follow-up activities, andpliance with electronic invoicing regulations and addressing customer collections issues, among others.
D. Coordinate resolution of Credit & Collections issues, with more significantmercial implications, with Corporate Credit & Collections and Sales organization.
E. Management of Capital Projects and Fixed Asset process, from planning phase, through approval, spending, capitalization, tracking and through final disposition.
F. Ensure proper reconciliation of shipment, receipts, invoicing (inbound / outbound), accounts receivable and accounts payable activity between various SLP legal entities and between various Oracle ERP and Oracle Financial modules.
G. Establish and monitorpliance with internal accounting controls deemed necessary to ensure integrity of financial transactions, reporting and activities; and safeguarding of plant assets in adherence with corporate policies and procedures. Ensurepliance of statutory requirements as applicable to the plant.
H. Responsible for the implementation and deployment of actions to ensure an adequate environment of fiscalpliance and internal control, across the plant. Providepliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and all applicable statutory requirements as applicable across various functions.
I. Champion department activities related to process improvements and standard work. Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for aplishing department and plant goals. Deploy & sustain lean tools and initiatives in order to reduce waste and improve efficiency of the finance function.
J. Counsel, mentor, evaluate, and motivate employees. Support the training of new finance employees. Ensure an adequate on-boarding, development and succession planning process for the finance function.
K. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
L. Promotes thepany’s mission by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
M. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
A. Bachelor degree in business, accountant, finance or similar
B. 5 years experience in area.
C. English – language capability, speaking, reading & writing required
D. Capitalization by projects –preferred
E. Oracle knowledge will be a plus
F. Working knowledge of electronic data processing systems as well as strong knowledge of spreadsheet software packages.
