Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer - 0053EG Manufacturing Engineer This position is responsible for
the development and improvement of manufacturing processes. The fields involved
in the position are:
- Development and improve
current processes by applying knowledge in tooling, machines, materials,
assembly methods to reduce non value added activities respecting safety and
- Definition and update of product
routings following Time Standards methods to assure the production rates are
- Update information about demand
rate and current takt times to determine bottlenecks and size the capacity of
each production line.
- Assure Quality by implementing
mistake-proofing procedures (Poka Yokes, Jidokas)
based on FMEA and Customer Complaints.
- Maintain control production lines
layout and strives for reducing floor space.
- Measure process efficiency
applying Manufacturing Time Definition method to breakdown the major waste
contributors. Create reports and data bases to assure information is reliable.
- Calculate Production, labor and
costs that can provide information to make decissions for
planning, production sizing and finance.
- Lean Implementation according to
SPS (Kaizen, 5s´s, SIM, VSM, Idea System Line Architecture Design)
- Keeps equipment operational by
defining maintenance routines for preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Serves as a change agent to
assure all team is working with enough effort to accomplish results.
- 3-5 years manufacturing
experience, Knowledge of fabrication equipment, (AMADA, Trumpf) Radan, or
process related with metal-mechanic industry.
- Knowledge of lean
manufacturing and six sigma concepts.
- Experience in time
standards definition and efficiency metrics, take time and labor requirements.
- Software: AutoCAD and MINITAB
- Six Sigma certification is
- 1 to 3 years of experience
as manufacturing or process engineer.
- English intermediate - Advanced
