Role Summary:
Perform identified duties for assigned components, assemblies, and/or systems in a multi-functional team environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
1.Execute, with guidance, the analysis, design, test and/or integration required to define and support the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems that meet business standards, practices, and procedures, and meet the product/program requirements.
2.Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
3.Develop technical capabilities concurrent with the execution of the responsibilities of the position
4.Document technical data that is generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems and that is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
5.Provide timely communication on significant issues or developments
6.Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews
7.Support the solution of problems of limited scope and complexity
8.Utilize Six Sigma tools to improve current business products and processes. Document successful Six Sigma projects via Green Belt reports and/or presentations.
9.Self-check of work
10.Demonstrated solid technical capability
Qualifications/Requirements:
•BS degree
•Sound understanding of engineering principles relevant to the position
•Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
•English skills: Must be able to understand most of a simple conversation, ask simple questions, and communicate simple ideas in English. For more information, consult the HR English Evaluations document located in Support Central.
•Presentation Skills: Ability to present own work results.
•Internal Candidates must be EE or E1
Desired Characteristics:
Recent graduate with professional residence on Gas Turbine design.
Familiar with the CF34 Product line.
Previous GE student experience, i.e. Lean Challenge
