Eaton’s Vehicles division is currently seeking a EHS Manager to join our team.This position is based at our Aguascalientes’ facility.
The EHS Manager is responsible for ensures plant level EHS programs, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented and sustained to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and conformance with Eaton Corporation requirements.

Some activities related with the position will be:
Supports High five metrics performance by establishing continuous improvement plans and projects, executing them on time.
Supervises all required environmental permit applications/renewals and routine agency reports
Manages all plant waste disposal activity to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Develops/maintains plant emergency response plans and ensures drills are performed to document plan effectiveness. May serve as the plant emergency coordinator.
Reviews plant environmental permits and ensures terms and conditions are understood and complied with, ensures required documentation is maintained and required regulatory reports are submitted to the respective agency (air discharge permits, biological storm and discharge water process permits)
Evaluates proposed projects and proposed new chemicals and ensures plans are in-place and implemented to address EHS compliance issues
Supports and/or directs the plant’s ISO 14001 EMS
Ensures required employee EHS training is completed on-time and documented & may perform training.
Develops and implements plant programs, policies and procedures to conform with Eaton EHS mandates, e.g., MESH, ISO 14001, PASST, Industria Limpia
Investigates EHS incidents/accidents to determine root causes and prepares and implements corrective action plans
Coordinates and participates in teams or committees of EHS of the plant
Completes activities according to the MESH procedures. See attachment for more details
Reports any problem, conflict or opportunity of improvement of MESH to the department of EHS or members of the staff
IMSS regulations compliance.
Champion for Category 2,3,4 in MESH
Develops/maintains all required written safety plans, e.g., HazCom, BBS, Hearing Conservation, LOTO, PPE Assessments
Ensures all required plant safety inspections are performed and documented, e.g., fire extinguishers, fire risers, emergency response equipment, safety showers, eye wash stations, emergency lights, ladders, housekeeping and that corrective actions are completed for identified deficiencies
Assists in the performance of accident and near-miss investigations and ensures root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented
Ensures the MSDS database is up-to-date for all materials
Chairs/ co-chairs the plant safety committee
Performs and maintains current JSA’s
Ensures required employee health and safety training is completed on-time and documented.
May perform training.
Compiles required safety performance metric data for the and for reporting to government agencies and to Eaton performance metric measurement databases (IMSS and STPS)
Coordinates the IH hazard assessment and monitoring program for measuring and documenting employee exposures
Supports and/or directs the plant’s health and safety management system, e.g., MESH, VPP, 18001
Provide safe work environmental for all employees

Four (4)year degree in industrial, mechatronic, manufacturing, or chemical engineering,chemistry, industrial hygiene, safety or equivalent.
3-5 years of manufacturing, supervisory andmanagerial experience with an emphasis in environmental, health and safetyprogram management and employee training. Experience with security operations is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledgeand training for government agencies requirements
Lean manufacturing Knowledge (Lean practitionerrecommended)
Detailed comprehension ofindustry/state/country specific environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Knowledge and training for Hazard MaterialsHandling and Emergency Response requirements
Thorough knowledge and training for EHS systemsdevelopment and deployment
Knowledge of financial concepts and techniquesutilized to establish value propositions of operational changes
Knowledge of problem solving techniques, (8d´s,5W, A3)
Ability to direct and lead cross-functionalprocess improvement teams
Ability to identify multiple cost-effectiveoptions to address EHS matters
Experience with communicating with regulatoryagencies
Large projects and expenditures will bereviewed and approved with supervisor as necessary
EHS guidance received from Group and CorporateEHS Offices
