Your work will be important towards faster discovery and development of next generation breakthrough therapies for unmet medical need.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Co-leads the strategy and governance for data generation initiatives, ensuring the production of high quality data to support core strategic pillars like improving patient outcomes, institutional cost savings, and patient access. Aligned with internal and external national and international regulations for interventional and non-interventional studies, ensures quality, time-lines and budget targets are met and will be responsible for Local – Regional – Global alignment through close working the cross functional teams, and demonstrate internal expertise, standard methodologies and capabilities.
• Functionally lead the local data generation cross-functional team and engages in thoughtful problem solving, solution alternative consideration, decision-making support and execution against plans, enable smart goal setting, and operational approach to achieve near-term and long-term objectives. Improve disease understanding relevant to drug development: incidence, prevalence, risk factors, natural history course, treatment patterns, co-morbidities, co-medications, outcome measures (cost efficiency data), phenotypes, biomarkers, unmet needs, and their variations as per needed.
• Collaborate closely with Global and Regional teams to identify alignments and demonstrate local data where applicable and/or support local teams identifying & developing local data sources. Develop positive relationships, capability building with internal partners in a cross-functional framework (clinical, safety, regulatory, health outcomes and commercial functions) to meet product needs. Supports prioritization to accomplish multiple research projects. Attain project and study timelines, in collaboration with franchises.
• Critically appraise existing epidemiology evidence and build new evidence through delivery of specific research plans/protocols and analysis of healthcare databases available within Novartis and co-lead the publications strategy and plan for local Medical Affairs team. Leads Research Collaborations projects across CPO according to strategic plan developed by multifunctional team.
• Participate in Clinical Operations activities including preparation of trial-specific monitoring manuals, procedures, operational guidelines, etc. Provide operational input to clinical trial protocols as required.
• Ensure the prevailing legislation, GCPs, Ethical Committee's, and standard operating procedures requirements are full filled and monitor adherence to and compliance with standard operating procedures. Participate in activities related to pharmacovigilance system as appropriate, report of adverse events, patient oriented management, implementation of risk management plans and Pharmacovigilance training programs as applicable.
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Have a Medical, Health Science, Economics, Research or similar Bachelor Degree; Ideally have a Master Degree in Health Services Research, Health Outcomes research, Public Health, Statics or Pharmaceutical sciences; Sophisticated Spanish and English skills (written, reading and speaking);
• Validated previous experience defining the Pharma strategy, gathering evidences and data which can bring us insights to take decision; conducting pharma-epidemiologic research, leading sophisticated scientific projects, launching products, leading scientific business cases to identify where to invest for medium and long term;
• Being a Project Manager for Health economics and outcomes research projects is a plus; Product development, Trial Planning and feasibility Clinical Trial Set-up, Management & Conduct post authorization, Data Safety Regulatory strategy modeling & simulation Statistical Programming;
• Must have experience and knowledge with Clinical Trials, Healthcare Systems procedures and guidelines; Preferably working before in Pharma companies, CROs or with Pharma projects;
• Has excellent abilities to communicate, influence, persuade and negotiate with different teams and partners; Has high ethic and integrity skills; Looks always for Operational Excellence; Has the ability to seek problems and sophisticated issues; Has excellent teammate skills.
