Design transportation strategies for both international and domestic freight services for locations in the Americas Region directly responsible for Mexico and one Brazil location. Develop and maintain strategies to ensure that shipments meet all applicable government agencies regulations and laws to facilitate the import and export of goods. Implement new or improved sustainable transportation practices and provide training. Work with our global manufacturing locations to determine the most cost-effective solutions and aid them in implementation.
Manage the Customs and Foreign Trade processes for Mexico. Effectively interface with our manufacturing locations to ensure compliance with the trade programs and legal requirements of Mexico Responsible to maintain a Compliance Program that covers all of the Mexico’s import and export activity for Vitesco Technologies. Provide leadership and direction in developing, implementing and maintaining strategies and systems to ensure that shipments meet all applicable government agencies regulations and laws to facilitate the import and export of goods in Mexico and Brazil.
Manage professionals in our locations to develop packaging standards and the implementation of those standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Trade, International Business/Business Management or similar
• Written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Mexico Trade Compliance
• English TOEFL Score equal to or greater than 90• Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP
• Understanding of logistics processes and carrier management
• Expertise in Mexican Customs laws and requirements
• Expertise in Foreign Trade Agreements Regulations (FTA)
• Expertise in Annex 24 and Annex 31
• Proficient with Microsoft office suite including MS word, office 360/emails, excel, power point, and visio process flows.
• Understanding of logistics processes and carrier management Preferred Qualifications:
• Project Management Experience
• Lean Sigma greenbelt
