• Performs staff support activities to develop, implement, and administer compensation and benefits policies and programs.
• Audits job content and prepares job descriptions.
• Develops and/or participates in compensation/benefit surveys to analyze company’s competitive position.
• Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines and recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems.
• Recommends company salary structure movements, salary increase budgets, and FLSA exemptions. Prepares special studies and makes recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or stock options.
• Administers and communicates the company’s benefits program plan options, features and enrollment requirements; assists employees with benefit claim administration inquiries.
• Analyzes cost containment strategies.
• Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws governing both compensation and benefits practices.
• May administer both domestic and international programs.

Experiencia y requisitos:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• 4 years of experience in compensation and benefits area.
• Proficient English.
• Strong with numbers: Compensation and benefits specialists tend to be numbers-oriented, as this career involves a great deal of quantitative analysis.
• Analytically inclined: The HR compensation and benefits profession requires professionals with strong analytical capabilities, as they are required to analyze trends, surveys, and spreadsheets as to determine compensation and benefits strategies.
• Detail-oriented: Compensation and benefits strategies are highly technical in nature, and the work involves a considerable amount of research and the interpretation of data. Therefore, compensation and benefits managers must be detail-oriented as to understand how compensation fits into the overall objectives of the organization.
• Great communication: Compensation and benefits specialists must be able to communicate effectively with employees and senior executives. They must also be comfortable presenting programs to employee groups and members of senior management.
• Strong Ethics and Discretion: Because compensation and benefits managers deal with confidential information, they must be stewards of ethics and discrete when it comes to handling sensitive information.
