The Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) team is on a data-centric mission to empower information producers with BI tools and competencies that speed the flow of information delivery, broaden access to information insights and simplify information discovery and analysis. The “Cloud Solution Architect” is a member of the EBI Enterprise Data Architecture Team and will focus on the system architecture, operations and administration of the data and advanced analytics ecosystem at NXP. This consists of a Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse (Teradata Vantage on-premises), ETL platforms and tools (IBM DataStage, Talend, Teradata Parallel Transporter, HVR). Although most platforms are on-premises at the moment, the ‘Cloud Solution Architect’ will play a key role in determining a Cloud strategy and will lead the implementation / migration. The role will report to the Enterprise Data Architecture Manager. Job Responsibilities: Design holistic solution architectures for complex business problems across reporting ecosystem including Hadoop, Azure, AWS, Teradata, MySQL, SQL Server, Dataiku, Tableau, Power BI, Endpoint API’s, Kubernetes, Cognitive Services, web services, etc. Collaborate within the EBI Enterprise Data Architecture Team, Enterprise Advanced Analytics Team and with Enterprise Application Architects on system architecture and operations of the data and advanced analytics ecosystem. Build and maintain documentation for management, maintenance, best practices and support of EBI’s cloud platforms within NXP. Collaborate with NXP’s Cloud Center of Excellence in determining best practices for the EBI Cloud Strategy Collaborate with Enterprise Infrastructure and Application Teams that support the EBI Ecosystem. Educate and collaborate with the other EBI Teams on current and future capability required to enable the EBI mission Co-lead the EBI Go-To-Cloud strategy, primary responsible for related system architecture and migration from on-premises to Cloud Collaborate with the Enterprise Advanced Analytics Team in their journey to a Cloud focused eco system. Work with the EBI program managers to ensure and enable effective marketing and communication at all levels. Stay abreast of EBI strategy, industry trends and best practices in order to facilitate competency development across the corporation. Work with non-EBI project teams to translate their “needs” into EBI specifications in accordance with best practices and EBI architecture principles where it makes sense for EBI engagement. Educate and collaborate with the NXP IT Enterprise Architecture team on current and future capability for EBI keeping architectural alignment. Work directly with external vendors to communicate NXP requirements, collaborate on solution designs and align to product roadmaps. Define KPIs for EBI cloud solutions, aiming to maximize uptime of platform development instances, implement automated checks and notifications to report on health of platform workflows, cost management, and monitor server resource consumption to ensure adequate resource availability for efficient development and execution of platform workflows. Establish protocol for addressing support issues and escalations during non-operational hours; maintain high service standards towards users and maintain service level agreements with these customers. Your profile: To be successful in this role you have: Fluent in English; Mandarin Chinese or Spanish is a plus. 5+ years’ experience in IT or a business team working closely with IT. 3+ years’ experience architecting info-centric solutions in an enterprise data and advanced analytics ecosystem environment. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus in architecting solutions. Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams including 3rd party professional service providers. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort for presenting at both large and small audiences. Demonstrated ability to drive results with a sense of urgency. Demonstrated ability to be a self-learner and work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on a tight schedule. Good work ethic and strong sense of responsibility & commitment. A can-do attitude and strong focus on NXP end-customer satisfaction Demonstrated “First Time Right” mindset and commitment Passion for big data, data science and enterprise AI. Furthermore, you have: In-depth understanding and experience working with a variety of legacy BI analytics and/or data technologies (Teradata, Cloudera, Hadoop, Spark, Azure, AWS, GCP, SQL/NoSQL/T-SQL databases, Teradata QueryGrid, Docker/Kubernetes, Apache Ecosystem, C#, Python, R, Jupyter, H2O, IBM DataStage, HVR, Talend etc.) Familiarity with methodologies and architectures like data virtualization, lambda, data streaming, graph databases, UDM, data centricity. Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management. Strong knowledge of native Cloud data warehouse solutions like SnowFlake and Azure Synapse. Strong working proficiency with Unix-based operating systems and general systems administration knowledge (i.e., command line interface, SSH, handling permissions, networking, resource utilization, etc). Working knowledge of various cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc).Prior Dataiku skills are ideal but not a requirement. Working knowledge in data science and/or machine learning, this is a requirement. You must have an understanding of analytics workflows which apply advanced analytics concepts such as of Classification, RegressionTime Series Forecasting and Text Analytics techniques and how the underlying data “flows” through the required environments / platforms to support these analytics.
