Recently established in Mexico, the Novartis Global Service Centre delivers a broad variety of services including scientific and commercial services (known as Product Lifecycle Services), Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations, IT, HR Operations and Procurement to the Novartis divisions and organizations worldwide. We’re growing rapidly and are looking for passionate, experienced high-caliber candidates to join our international team.
The NGSC Mexico is located in the biggest city in the country. The site is located 15 minutes away from Coyoacan, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Mexico, dating back to the XVI century, which has evolved into a cultural spot that gathers Mexican traditional and gourmet cuisine, arts and crafts, and history.
We are searching for a Cardiology Medical Science Liaison for CDMX; the purpose of this position is to develop peer to peer relationships with the Medical Experts / Key Stakeholders and members of the scientific community, utilizing scientific and medical evidence-based “non-promotional” materials. Strategically support the development, launch and commercialization of Novartis products through scientific exchange, seeking external insight to shape Novartis understanding of the therapeutic environment Provide internal integrated clinical and scientific therapeutic area and product expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
In this position your main activities will be:
•To become the scientific expert in order to bring management & medical support;
•To develop peer-to-peer scientific relationships, assess alignment with scientific messages (degree of Medical Expert understanding and agreement with medical platform statements) and contributions (activities in which Medical Experts are independently qualified to engage or collaborate with the organization);
•To contribute to identification and mapping of Medical Experts/key stakeholders in line with local strategies;
•To provide and discuss scientific information and data with HCPs to ensure quality and accuracy of medical and scientific information on new treatment options including Novartis products and selected areas of therapeutic interest;
•To liaise and provide up-to-date medical support to relevant external groups to ensure evidence based understanding of Novartis products relative to medical guidelines, and health economic information;
•To provide speaker training to HCPs to support education to the healthcare community about new therapies developed and commercialized by Novartis;
•To respond to unsolicited requests for scientific information to external health care professionals and/or customers in line with local and global SOPs, policies and regulations Scientific Research Support;
•To provide scientific educational activities to support study accrual for key trials as appropriate;
•To provide feasibility and research site recommendation for Novartis sponsored clinical trials;
•To collaborate with ICRO team and Medical Advisors, to support clinical sites, including providing guidance in accordance with guidelines, Novartis Internal Policies, and regulations as appropriate;
•To increase awareness of Novartis clinical research program to enhance patient identification and trial accrual;
•To become an investigator request, liaise between potential researcher and the Company on IIT sub-mission process or requests for research grade substance (Material Transfer Agreements) to support independent clinical/preclinical research Scientific Exchange/Insights;
•To engage in scientific discussions related to Novartis research areas/compounds/pipeline with MEs, speakers & investigators;
•To support scientific exchange to advance understanding of new scientific principles, novel re-search trends, and current scientific debate;
•To collect, analyze and report insights that may impact Novartis development plans /trial designs, launch strategies and tactics and medical education programs tailored to physicians' education needs.Minimum requirements
The ideal candidate:
•Must have a Medical, Pharma, Science or similar Bachelor Degree;
•Ideally to have a Doctoral studies/Degree, could be Just Graduated;
•Must have preferably 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison in Cardiology or in the industry or government with research procedures in at least one therapeutic area;
•Must have the ability to understand and convey emergent scientific information;
•Must have proven competencies influencing skills, clinical research insight, business and market knowledge;
•Must have a strong understanding of general medical and emerge scientific information in the Country as well as established contacts within the medical community;
•Must have the ability to develop and foster credible relationships with Medical Experts/Decision Makers;
•Must have commercial acumen with Access, Marketing and Sales;
•Must have experience and knowledge with the Healthcare Systems procedures and guidelines;
•Preferably working before in Pharma companies;
•Has excellent abilities to communicate, influence, persuade and negotiate with different teams and stakeholders;
•Has high ethic and integrity skills;
•Looks always for Operational Excellence;
•Has the ability to manage changes and looks for Continuous Improvement;
•Advanced English skills (written, reading and speaking).
