Description
Trinseo is seeking an Automotive Account Manager who will be accountable for strategic customer base of automotive customers in Mexico that are critical to our overall business. Global Account Management and leadership skills are required in order to enable growth and success.
The Automotive Account Manager is the owner of all commercial aspects (customer, pricing, forecasting, relationships, order management, etc) of account management (70% of role). In addition, due to our commitment to growth, the immediate expectation would be that this individual would transition into the management of current accounts, uncover new potential opportunities, and support our pipeline growth initiatives, with responsibilities for managing customer growth activities (product specifications, key part requirements, unmet needs, pipeline development, commercial tools), and providing visibility to a strong future pipeline of new pursuits.
In order to be successful, the Automotive Account Manager will have to develop and cultivate key customer relationships (beyond just the purchasing function) and establish relationships with key decision makers in manufacturing, engineering and program management, as well as internal relationship with TS&D peer sellers, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Product Management, Credit, and Legal.
The ideal candidate for this position will have field background that consists of automotive industry experience, with significant involvement in plastics; experience in sales, marketing, or technical services
This position is based in Mexico. This position requires about 20-30-% travel: some overnight business trips in Mexico and travel in North America regions; some international travel may be required.

Uncover new responsibilities for growth – pipeline development
Identification of key stakeholders at strategic accounts
Determine further needs and opportunities to introduce new products (technologies) and solutions in alignment with business strategies
Align with European, NA, and Asian colleagues to learn key aspects of business and global account management at Trinseo
Participate in market management teams and represent needs to MMT
Participate in sales and safety meetings, along with product development teams
Ability to work strategically and independently with internal and external groups on multiple simultaneous projects
Develop key customer and internal relationships with decision makers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5 – 10 years’ experience with a strong track record of Business/Market Development
Experience in Sales and Marketing
Automotive industry experience, with added knowledge of plastics industry
Strong communication skills (spoken/written) English

Reporting Relationship(s)
This position reports to the Director, Sales NA. This is a non- supervisory role.
