Job Summary:Supervises IBX Engineers and IBX site. Assists with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance. Typically has 2-3 years of people management experience and is fully proficient with each of the responsibilities indicated.
Responsibilities
Management
Supervises IBX Engineers to ensure that the duties they are undertaking are carried out in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expected
Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development
Site Capacity Management
Overall site capacity supervision
Project/Infrastructure Management
Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center
Provides input and guidance towards budget
Vendor Management
Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards
Testing
Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems
Incident Management
Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident
Qualifications
3+ years experience
High School Diploma
Able to perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work days/nights/weekends/holidays, if needed and/or required
Able to lift heavy equipment/items up to 50 pounds
