Alliance Partner Marketing Manager
Lenovo Data Center Group (DCG) World Wide (WW) Partner Marketing is lookingfor a self-starter with experience in building Go-to-Market (GTM) marketingplans with alliance partners. This role is dedicated to driving jointmarketing plans with VMware. The joint GTM marketing plan defines thestrategic and tactical plan for the use of VMware partner development funds.This funding enables global and geography marketing execution to driveawareness and demand for Lenovo + VMware offerings & solutions.
This role also draws from your experience in developing content for B2B multi-channel demand generation campaigns and leading engagements with externalagencies. This role has the unique privilege of collaborating with a strategicalliance partner, cross functional teams, agency partners, and Geographymarketing. You will drive the content development to support the GTMmarketing plan. You will collaborate with VMware and solution/segmentmarketing teams to define the strategic objectives, content plan, KPIs anddeliver Geography marketing execution guidance.
The right person has poise and confidence in working with third partystakeholders. Key to success in this global role is an ability to consistentlyengage with teams across the DCG marketing & communications function on behalfthe Lenovo+ VMware GTM marketing plan.
What You Will Be Doing
• Develop global Lenovo + VMware GTM marketing plans through the Lenovo WWPartner Marketing Governance model.
• Define the strategic objective and tactical priorities for the marketingexecution of partner development funds
• Build and interlock the semi-annual marketing plans for Geo executionguidance
• Define and lead the supporting content plan aligned to the GTM plan
• Ensure partner development funded GTM marketing plans intersect sharedVMware and DCG marketing, communications & sales learning priorities
• Provide planning calendar of key VMware announcements for Lenovoamplification support to WW DCG comms teams (PR, Social, Executive quotes)
• Assist with delivery of required inputs / outputs to both Lenovo & VMwareteams
• Assist with marketing launch interlocks between Lenovo & VMware for Lenovoproducts/solutions which feature VMware offerings (to include reviews of jointcollateral; field sales enablement updates; overview of overall GTM marketingplan)
• Work with VMware, external agency partners, alliance and solution marketing/ product segment teams to help define the messaging and offering focus forcontend funded via partner development funds
• Lead the project management of Lenovo + VMware content creation to supportWW DG plays
• Partner with stakeholders to define content focus and messages (Geo DCGmarketing; VMware, Lenovo segment & solutions teams).
• Manage inputs and required pre-approvals into VMware partner portals priorto content creation
• Manage agency partners identified to support the agreed upon content plan
• Production schedules and on-time delivery
• On budget delivery of content assets
• Oversee QA to ensure all content assets in support of the demand gen playare accurate prior to release to geography marketing teams (this includes anyalliance partner pre-approval for compliance requirements).
• Manage the POE requirements for Lenovo reimbursement of WW contentdevelopment
• Publish assets to Lenovo AEM for Geo execution and communicate release ofassets
• Manage the marketing dashboard management
o Utilize data from VMware Partner Development fund tool to track fundingutilization
o Monitor funding utilization & assist with recommendations when under-spending / under-performance occurs
o Responsible for Lenovo inputs into the dashboard (DG play pipelinereporting; status updates on agreed upon focus areas)
Position Requirements:
Required Skills
- 5-7 years experience in B2B marketing experience
- Understanding of a broad range of marketing activities, disciplines, andtactics
- Top notch project management skills.
- Experience in managing agency partners to deliver on time and within fundedscope of work agreements
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with alliance partners
• Familiarity with standard marketing performance metrics
• Ability to work with cross-functional and cross cultural teams
• Detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Team player mentality and positive, “can do” attitude
• Self-motivated, can work independently and proactively to resolve issues,take ownership for processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
