JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to ensure that suppliers are paid in accordance with the terms of the purchase order and to ensure that all invoices are paid appropriately and to make sure that the operations of the company are not put at risk.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure that all payments to the suppliers are correct and are made on time.
- Ensure that there are no non conformances, keeps records of all payment requirements, explanation of discrepant and statements of accounts.
- Keep a register of invoices for payment, previous analysis of the purchase order and the receipt of the goods or the service.
- To ensure that the supplier receives the detail of the invoices paid for it to be correctly processed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Process vendor invoices and purchase orders.
- Accounts reconciliations
- Posting invoice expenses
- Match invoices to receiving and purchasing documents.
- Troubleshoot invoice problems with regard to quantity and price.
- Research invoice data as required.
- Respond to vendor inquiries on the status of accounts payable.
- Research vendors with a debit balance.
- Review and post credit memos.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service/communication skills and an ability to develop/maintain effective work relationships with customers at all levels and with other team members
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Proficient in English
