Organize and control the areas involved in the distribution of units, as well manage both human and material resources to guarantee supply.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will have responsability for planning and directing all department activities that support the operative processes of a major automotive manufacturer at the WWL Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).
Evaluate daily production requirements and ensure the appropriate scheduling of resources.
Provide direct, daily supervision of department employees.
Ensure adequate training of department employees.
Monitor inventory levels; identify and implement cost reduction activities.
Ensure that established operating procedures are followed for all department functions and processes.
Ensure department efficiency standards are met or exceeded while maintaining WWL standards of quality and efficiency which are established by the Operations Manager.
Maintain workplace safety standards, including proper storage/handling of hazardous waste materials.
Daily and Weekly timekeeping reviews and approvals in timekeeping syste.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Bachelor degree: Engineering, Administration
2-3 years first line supervisory experience.
Experience with SOP, Kaizen, 5S and visual factory management.
Experience in an assembly line operation, with emphasis on automotive or mechanical applications.
Excellent interpersonal and oral communications skills.
Experience in logistics industry, desirable automotive.
A self-starter with the ability to perform in high pressure and dynamic situations.
Self-motivated with an extreme desire to succed.
Proactive. with the ability to think globally.
Proven management skills and experience in employee relations.
willing to work any shift, open to future relocation; able to work long hours and weekends if required.
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and database navigational skills.
