Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supervising all the accounting transactions based on Mexican NIFs, and delivering the month-end closing with high quality and in compliance with Mexican regulations. 
Main Responsibilities:  Ensure that all the accounting transactions are recorded timely and accurately with a high standard of supporting documentation. 
Review the accounting entries performed by other team members and performs accounting entries such as accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications as needed, to ensure compliance with Mexican NIFs and local tax requirements. Such entries include banking operations, taxation, intercompany movements, payroll, adjustments of reserves and provisions and so on. 
Prepare financial statements in a timely and accurate manner complying with the Mexican regulations and following the company's global accounting policy. 
Perform Balance sheet reconciliations, explain and adjust outstanding balances. 
Record collections and payments, through the interface of accounts payable and receivable modules. (AP\AR) 
Keep documentation updated and traceable for compliance with the tax provisions of electronic accounting, and for the monthly payment of local and federal taxes. 
Provide support in internal and external audits (SAT). 
Actively participate in and support implementation of the JDE system. 
Required experience:  Majoring in public accounting (with professional licenses). 
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant. 
Experience in generation and analyzing financial statements. 
Knowledge of Financial Information Standards, Mexican NIFs. 
Aware of the latest local tax-requirements 
Desirable experience in JDE system. 
Skills: Advanced English, capable of holding conversations on his/her own. 
Advanced MS Excel 
Customer service oriented (internal and external) 
Ability to work under pressure and a high degree of ability to define priorities. 
Oriented to details and organized. 
Proactive and with a high sense of teamwork.
