**Job Description Summary**: This position is for Sub-Section Manager for Mechanical Analysis focusing on Configurations and Turbomachinery hardware in the EMS section at GEIQ. In this role you will be responsible for leading around 45 engineers and responsible for program execution, resource management, business connectivity, and nurturing the technical and professional growth of the team. You will utilize your technical and leadership skills to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and impact short-term and long-term business goals.**Essential Responsibilities**- Provide leadership and technical direction to the team on mechanical analysis programs/projects across Commercial & Military engines supported by GEIQ to meet objectives in a cross functional environment.- Execute Mechanical analysis projects across commodities (Configurations, rotors & static structures) to support design efforts, durability improvements, manufacturing support, field issues, certifications, life extension/updates & CIP.- Experience coordinating relevant projects with higher autonomy/ownership.- Partner with GEIQ EMS Section Manager, DB45 Chief Consulting Engineer and global mechanical analysis Sub-Section Managers to define the strategy of the discipline, share resources, communicate lessons learned, etc.- Manage a team of ~45 engineers including CTHs & Staff Engineers providing technical mentoring and career guidance.- Ensure project execution per agreed commitment with FTY=1 within budget and schedule- Own HR processes (Priorities, Checkpoints, Talent Reviews, Performance Management, Career Growth) for your team through mentoring & coaching.- Remain cognizant of state-of-the-art technologies in the Mechanical Analysis arena and promote the participation in the Design Board.- Use your judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems related to operational activities, strategy, and product management.- Drive a culture of compliance, integrity, open reporting, and psychological safety.- Highly independent management of GE processes and business cycles- Strategic planning and execution for the whole Mechanical Analysis Team**Qualifications**- Relevant experience with mechanical design, analysis and life management.- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.- In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering.- Experience with configurations hardware, rotating parts and/or static structures.- Previous experience in various mechanical analysis (e.g., Durability/Strength/Modal/Creep) and life methodologies.- Deep understanding of Fracture Mechanics and Simulation Models- Demonstrated ability to lead teams.- Proven track record leading certification deliverables and deep understanding of regulatory requirements.- Demonstrated experience with IP Protection processes.- Solid background working with LR data and military customers.- Effective communication, presentation, and influencing skills.- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across global sites.**Desired Characteristics**- Demonstrated experience in people leadership role, preferably leading other managers too.- Exposure to LEAN principles- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality standard- Proven ability to connect with individuals, engage and align efforts to customers and business priorities.- Previous experience as a CTH is a plus.**Eligibility Requirement**:Mexican nationality is required for this position due to regulatory matters.**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:No
