As a member of the Lifestyle studio, you will be a part of a team that creates impactful and memorable experiences in the retail, hospitality, restaurant, mixed use, and residential markets.What You Will Do- Working with Design Director(s) and project team(s), participate in all project phases, including programming client needs, conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, FF&E sourcing and specifications, and construction documents- Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives- Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions- Produce graphic presentations, 3D visualizations, and construction drawings- Develop and exhibit self-direction and curiosity while working in a collaborative environment- Assist in managing client expectations and team communication- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsYour Qualifications- Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent- 5+ years of professional commercial design experience focusing on retail design and delivery- Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office- 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written, with excellent verbal communication skills.- Intermediate understanding of design theories, furniture, finishes, materials, and color selections- Strong understanding for the development of FF&E Specifications- Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas- Strong organizations skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time- Familiar with retail related ADA compliance and building codesLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
